There is also a smoke detector that is also a burglar alarm. Can't remember where I got it from though.

I wonder, what if you made a small part of it stick through the wall? To the game that would be the front, that would be inside the house, the alarm that is seen would be outside the wall. Basically just enough inside to function, the rest protruding out the "back" outside, if you get what I mean? Is that possible?
