While I'm also dissapointed that the custom spots won't work against walls, I can still find more than a few uses for them and I thank you for sharing.

My Sims put on a concert, and the lights gave it just the right touch. These are AWESOME!!!

I'm actually so addicted to these i'm starting to wish i hadn't dowloaded them, i use them to such an extent that every lot in my city at night is multicolored! haahahha!

I like three mix become yellow because it looks like spa or Bali theme ( but still see a little of original color ) it would be great if there is real yellow/orange color.. in future possible? (recolor to yellow)

I have tried to recolor but doesn't work i can't success.
