It's a failed recolor attempt, actually. I am trying to unravel how to get from the Fence XML to the Txtr, past all the cres and shpe and such. So far, I only figured out how to recombine the existing pieces and how to make a fence invisible (that's in the screenshot, on the right end of the front row).
I'm going to keep trying, though. If we can get it licked, then making an exotic fence will be easy, since they all have the same shape (flat), just some height variations. Everything else is color, transparency and bump mapping.

These are great, Wes! And you wouldn't have been able to make them with HomeCrafter, so your effort wasn't wasted. ;-)

Which post would you like it to have?

Default More coming, hopefully.
I have delved a little deeper into fences and walls, and I am trying to put a package of more walls together, but it is far more tedious than wallpaper.
When (or if) I get a good one done, I'll probably put it in the regular beat-test section, because it's not a recolor. Recolors of a skin is much easier, that's why wallpaper and paint are essentially the same items in TS2.
Fences require a shape and a mesh, as well as the colors.
Thanks everyone for the help.

They're GORGEOUS sorry for hollering; I used the wood and wrought iron in a house yesterday and it was fabulous. Can't wait to try the others; how on earth did you do it?

wes:
Thanks for the early Christmas presents, they are spectacular. I will be looking foward to your walls, if their only half as good as your fences, they will be 4x better than those Mazis stuck us with; any chance of making something that can be used to decorate porches and gazebos, you know, with Victorian gingerbread on top. Hey its just a thought.
Once again Thanks so very much.

I love these fence variations its nice to have choices. I would like to know if it is possible to have the tall cement block recolored white. Not sure if you can do it but if you can I would love it. Thanks :howdy: Komasutra
