I just remembered something. I read in a strategy guide somewhere about matching your sims aspiration types. That a good match for a Romantic sim was a popularity sim becasue they were less likely to have jealousy problems. That may mean there is something in the aspirations that set a particular aspiration for more or less jealousy. Someone might need to check that out.

I had a minor complication. After throwing a party and making out with all the sims I was in good standing with. One of the sims went from 100/100 to around 70/70 and i lost being in friend/best friend status with that sim.

Userboo, Hmm, Do you have any idea what caused this? I know there are some things other than jealousy that can cause a drop in relationships, but if there is a bug I sure want to track it down before I let the general public in on this. I have not been thru all the object behaviours yet (There are thousands) to see if any of them have any hidden jealousy components. Such was the case in Sims1 and it took me weeks to find them all. <sigh>. So if you can remember what triggered the relationship lose please let me know, and I will track it down.

hawknight - That is something that seems to happen to sims that woohoo a lot. Ages you quick! :O Rather realistic but troublesome.

Doe - Yes please do, I cannot imagine that anything I changed would have that effect, but the "Law of unintended consequences" has bit me more than once. :O I have had visitors stay for a day or so before, way before I started on the patch. I am trying to find out what happened so I can control that and make it happen on demand. Btw I do plan on working on a "visitor" patch like there was for Sims1, but we will need more visitor enabled items available first.

Can you make it so that Romance Sims are the only one that don't have jealousy.

That would be wonderful. I don't know how you'd set levels of jealous behaviour based on a Sim's attributes, but if there's a sliding scale, that would be good. For example, if a Sim has a jealously tolerance level of 10/100, they'd let a friendly hug go, but that's it whereas a sim with a jealously tolerance level of 100/100 wouldn't bat an eyelid at their love WooHooing the pizza delivery man.

And now my two cents on the formula behind how the jealously tolerance level should be set.
1pt for every nice attribute
2pts for every playful or outgoing attibute point
Points total tripled for sims with Romance aspiration.

So a dead average Sim with non-Romance aspiration would have a jealousy tolerance of (5x1) + (5x2) + (5x2) = 25. And a SimPe'd porn star Sim would have a jealousy tolerance of ((10x1) + (10x2) + (10x2)) * 3 = 150.

OK, maybe making it out of 100 won't work, but you get the idea

Once every so often there is a relationship drop that seems as if there was some jealousy. Really, it just makes things more interesting :-)

So far I'm no trouble with it but I try something tonight and I put two beds in the same room and ask another couple to join they would make love in front of each other but would not woohoo till one of my sims left with the one she had in bed with her. Then my other sims did woohoo. but they would woohoo in front of each other in the hot tub

I'm just curious what potential trouble there may be in the future if I have this patch installed and I install an expansion pack.

I know this is probably a question that is difficult to answer, but is there anything I should keep in mind in regard to this?

That is useful, I had a sim running on auto during a meal with some others wile I was controlling one other sim, he started flirting or kissing another sim and two other femaile sims get mad at him, one in the household and a visitor, they also started hating the involved lady. The damage control was a bitch.

Sorry posted this in the wrong tread. It was for a adult discussion about this.
But I would prefer a scaled version, probably only for romance sims and best of all romance sims with many partners. How can they complain, like having public woohoo with 10 partners and is deadly jealous if one of them is unfaithful.
